Dr. PK Acharya Library, Study & Digital Literacy Centre

Prior to the LK Jha Foundation initiative, the aspiring youth and students in Chikhali lacked access to books for competitive exam preparations, vocational courses, environmental studies and general knowledge.

There was also no centre in the village, which gave them guidance and internet facility where they could browse for information about courses or apply for jobs.

There was also a need for some centre where the youth could learn digital skills that are essential to navigate today’s world.

In order to meet these needs, the Dr P.K. Acharya Library and Digital Learning Centre was established.

The Library is well equipped with over 2000 books on various courses and competitive exams purchased according to the interests expressed by the youth.

A high quality internet connection at the Digital Learning Centre has been installed. A trainer and facilitator has been appointed for the Digital Learning course and to help the beneficiaries with browsing and making digital applications.

The Dr P.K. Acharya Library and Digital Learning Centre is located in the Rameshwar Junior College, located in the premises adjacent to the Rameshwar Vidyalaya.
